About the Author

Alejandro Reyes is the author of “Beginner’s Guide to SOLIDWORKS”, first released for SOLIDWORKS 2005 and updated for every release since.

      Writing this book was a suggestion by  former SOLIDWORKS Educational market director when she saw a basic training manual developed by Alejandro for new users, and after introducing him to SDC Publications the book was published and the rest is history.

Alejandro holds a Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Mechanical Design. He has over 20 years of experience in mechanical design and CAD systems. From 1998 to 2006 he was a SOLIDWORKS Authorized Training and Support Center.
